At Loyola Tutoring, we understand that many students and parents may be discouraged by the scores they receive on their tests or homework. However, we want to reassure you that scores are just numbers, and they do not define who you are or what you are capable of achieving.
Our tutoring program has high standards when it comes to questions and writing, which may be different from what students are used to in school. As a result, scores may not be as high as expected. But, we want to emphasize that each one of our students is remarkable and capable of incredible things. A single test or homework assignment does not determine their future.
In fact, the average score for all subjects in our materials is below 50%. We don't want our students to focus on achieving a score of 90% or more, but rather break it down into smaller steps. We encourage students to ask themselves: what steps do I need to take to go from 40% to 50%? Is it taking notes and revising? Is it revisiting incorrect questions the following week? Then, what do I need to do to go from 50% to 60%?
It's important to remember that when you stand at the base of a mountain, it always seems impossible to reach the top.🏔 But, together, we can succeed by walking one step at a time, one day at a time. We believe that with the right mindset, attitude, and support, every student can achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
As parents, we want to acknowledge the incredible job you have done in raising your child. 😍 We are impressed by the caliber of our students and their willingness to learn and grow. We want to partner with you to provide the best possible tutoring experience for your child.
